We don’t currently provide Legacy Fabric as an automatic installation option.
However, you can still run it manually.
You can install a Legacy Fabric server locally on your computer, then upload all the server files to your server using an FTP client such as FileZilla.
Once the files are uploaded, select OpenMod as the server type to start the server.
This should allow the server to run normally with Legacy Fabric and your mod.
i did that and it gave me an error it said it wouldnt run. for better than wolves specifically you need java 17 and you need to put the path to “javaw” in the start.bat file
You don’t need to use a .bat file on our platform.
The server startup is entirely managed by the control panel.
If the mod requires Java 17, you can select it directly in your Minecraft server configuration in the panel (see the Java version option in the settings).
Just set the Java version to 17, save the configuration, and then start the server normally.

I would need to ask if by Better Than Wolves you are talking about the discontinued mod which can’t be used on Minecraft versions higher than 1.5.2, or if you are talking about the modpack Better Than Better Than Wolves.

I can’t manage to find a way to use the mod now because of it being available on forge for beta 1.8.1, which doesn’t exists. Or with a custom modloader which seems fishy or at least is unknown to the world. (Risugami’s mod loader)
However for the modpack, it seems to be possible by just uploading every files.
Also, I see there is another mod :
This one is even worse than the first one because it talks about fabric for beta 1.7.3, which isn’t possible since Fabric have been “invented” starting 1.14.
I think they chose Fabric as to explain it has to be implemented the very old way (directly modifying Minecraft’s jar to add the mod’s ressources).

It’s better than wolves community edition 3.0 for 1.6.4 which is listed as a compatible mod pack on the website with even the option to add it to your server that’s the whole reason I bought this particular server. I had tried to run a server in the past for the 1.5.2 and had success but my internet was way too slow so I opted to buy a server I imported the files myself I added the fabric 1.6.4 server every tutorial I’ve watched and even the better than wolves wiki tells you to run start.bat the server is constantly spitting out errors and not running sometimes the server goes up but it says no communication error I recommend taking better than wolves off of the boxtoplay website if it does not work as intended
